Joan Pagones is the first woman elected to serve as Fishkill Town
Supervisor. Elected in 1986 as Fishkill's first Councilwoman, she
served for 5 years as a Councilwoman and then ran successfully for
Town Supervisor in 1991, and has successfully been re-elected since.
Prior to
elected service, Joan served for 19 years in Dutchess County
Government in various appointed positions.

Joan is a
native of Westchester County. She has resided in the Town of
Fishkill since 1971. A graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes HS, and an
honors graduate of Dutchess Community College with an AA Degree in
Liberal Arts and the Humanities, a Phi Theta Kappa member. She is a
graduate of the Pace Leadership Alliance Program and has also
attended Empire State College. |
